About self-directed Online course: (available to register)

Starting in July 2023, we will be introducing a self-directed course. We have reached an agreement with Piemedical, to grant online access to the course cases on fully functional 3Mensio software for the duration of the course.

Every registered candidate will have access to:

1.      Recorded lectures covering topics related to the use of CT imaging, pre, and post-TAVI. The complete list of lectures is as follows:

 

• CT for TAVI planning (overview)

• Aortic valve calcification scoring and its role in aortic stenosis

• Planning a TAVI CT: technical considerations

• Iodinated contrast for TAVI: technical and safety considerations

• Assessing tricuspid aortic annulus size

• Assessing bicuspid valves for TAVI

• Assessing the risk of coronary obstruction

• Implantation fluoroscopic angle calculation

• CT assessment for Valve in valve TAVI

• Assessment of vascular access by CT

• Complications: CT for vascular access injuries

• Complications: TAVI assessment of thrombosis and degeneration

• Complications: CT for paravalvular regurgitation and treatment planning

• Other complications

 

2.      There are separate step-by-step instruction videos on how to use the 3mensio software. We will show you how to perform the generic analysis that can be performed on any software platform. You will also have the opportunity to master using the semi-automated analysis function on the 3mensio.

3.      Each candidate has round-the-clock individual access to CT studies and 3mensio software. You will perform your analysis of each case at your desired time and then you will be able to see the recorded analysis by the course tutors. You can access each case an unlimited number of times without any restrictions. YOu will need access to a standard computer (Mac or Windows) and reliable internet (10mps or above).

4.      A certificate of attendance and CPD/CME will be issued following the successful completion of the course.

We are now taking registration for the course. The cost of the course is £400. Since we can only accommodate 5 registrations every month, the allocation will be based on first come first served.

We have introduced a live online TAVI CT course using advanced online communication techniques (Zoom) with full access to practice cases on advanced imaging software (Cloud Terarecon).

The online London TAVI CT Course is designed to deliver a comprehensive training curriculum including lectures and live hands-on training and follows the same curriculum as previous in-person courses.

The requirement is access to a computer (see below for specifications) and internet access.
